Riverside House

Riverside House is located just yards from the banks of the River Aros and looks out over the estuary and the Sound of Mull.

It is has been newly built with an island architect and builder and completed at the end of 2017. The airy spaces, high ceilings, plate glass windows and commanding views make it a very uplifting home to stay in. It has been decorated with island art work and photographs.

The house was designed using Passive House principles to be be ultra energy efficient. For most of the year the heat from sunlight and day to day use are enough to keep the house warm without using any heating.

Lower Floor

  • Very spacious open plan kitchen with island and dining area. Equipped with electric oven and hob, fridge, freezer and dishwasher. Nespresso machine with complimentary capsules.
  • Large hall with with full height window and two porches for coats, wellingtons etc.
  • Raised sitting area with plenty of comfortable seating, TV and DVD wood burning stove and snug/work area above. I Pod docking station Wifi.
  • Utility room and laundry facilities (washing machine and tumble dryer).
  • One downstairs double/twin room. Ensuite bathroom including shower over bath.

First Floor

  • Master bedroom with king size bed. Sea view and ensuite shower room.
  • Twin room with ensuite shower.

Outdoors

Sea and river views from grassy garden. Patio area with seating and BBQ.

LATE AVAILABILITY: THE WHITE HOUSE ONE WEEK FROM OCTOBER 10th

We are  following strict guidance from the Association of Scottish Self Caterers on cleaning the properties. Check in for all properties  will be 5.30pm and check out 9.30 am to accommodate the extra cleaning required.

 

Latest guidance on Covid Restrictions published by ‘Visit Scotland’ in relation to self catering holidays and limits on different households visiting.

Hospitality (from 00:01 Friday 25 September 2020)

 

  • Further restrictions on household gatherings were also announced. These limited households from mixing with other households in private dwellings. Self-contained holiday accommodation is within the definition of a private dwelling, and these restrictions therefore also apply to all forms of self-catering accommodation, including holiday cottages, lodges, apartments, caravans, chalets, houseboats, sailing boats etc. (NB given the range of types of self-catering accommodation available in Scotland, from tree houses and yurts to lighthouses, this list is not exhaustive.)

Bookings for up to the 26th September 2021 are being taken from 2nd September 2020. Availability will be posted by 31st August.
